Small, Wireless Sensor for Measuring Accelerations, Vibrations and Rotation Rates

nemi G+ not only measures and monitors accelerations and vibrations, but also rotation rates, rotation angles and magnetic fields in and around all three axes. With its integrated rechargeable battery, radio connection nemi Link 2400 and i4M's highly efficient radio technology, nemi G+ can be operated completely wirelessly for many hours. It is also suitable for permanent installations using its wide-range voltage input. Due to its robust and small design and easy mounting, nemi G+ works perfect in highly dynamic applications such as roller coasters, but also on rotating or moving components such as pitch bearings of wind turbines or gearboxes.

Online condition monitoring for the analysis of the dynamic behavior of roller coasters

To enable continuous online condition monitoring, we installed a nemione measuring system on a roller coaster that provides reliable data with the help of three small wireless sensors (nemi G+ and nemi DAQ) and the gateway nemi EdgeBase.

Detection of physical stresses on the human body in roller coasters

Using the acceleration sensor nemi G+ attached to a chest strap, we have determined the forces and accelerations that occur on the human body while riding roller coasters.
